The Right Tool For The Job

Muck ShoesPeople in metropolitan areas would probably cringe because they’re so ugly it almost hurts to look at them and probably wouldn’t be caught dead wearing them in public. But, as the main characters in Book 1, Fool Me Once, and Book 2, A Bitter Wind Blows, know…they’re the right tool for the job!

Rickie is the Managing Broker at Horse Country Real Estate and she sets high standards for her associates; these are shoes you can slip off at the door as a matter of respect for the seller so you won’t track mud in when you’re showing a property.

She and her partners, Ronnie and Andee, all have horses and they keep their muck shoes in the mudroom or on the porch, ready to shove their feet into when they go out to feed, do chores or check on the horses.

Readers will meet a new main character in Book 3, Signs of Life. She’s Asha Hamilton, disgraced former Olympic event rider and present-day riding instructor. You can bet she’s worn out a few pair of muck shoes!

The third book and fourth books are in the queue. The fifth is now the current work-in-progress. The setting is Big South Fork, Tennessee which is known as "The Trailriding Capital of the Southeast" so these stories will all appeal to horse lovers who love to read books about horses.
